What does (BCE) mean? 

BCE stands for Book Club Edition. A Book Club Edition is a later run of a book that was designed to be sold in bulk. BCEs are often smaller than the original version and may have a lower paper quality. We identify Book Club Editions with (BCE) in the product title. 

Where do your items come from? 

We hand-pick the majority of our items from estate sales, auctions, and second-hand shops. On occasion, we also purchase directly from private collectors.

How are your items packaged and stored? 

It is our number one priority to ensure that the images you see of a product on our website are an accurate representation of what you will receive. Once we photograph and inventory a new item it is immediately packaged and safely stored in our climate-controlled storage facility. All books, games, and VHS tapes are individually wrapped in packing paper to ensure that they remain in the same condition in which they are pictured. All other items (toys/collectibles) are bubble wrapped. Once an order has been placed, items are pulled from storage, securely packed and shipped.

How long does processing and handling take? 

Orders placed on weekdays will be processed within 24 hours. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will processed on the next business day. 

How long does shipping take? 

Shipping time is determined by Canada Post and the shipping rate you select at checkout. All items are shipped from Toronto, Ontario. Standard shipping across Canada typically takes 4-7 days.  

Why is shipping so expensive? 

Our shipping rates are direct from Canada Post. Due to their pricing structure, base shipping on most single items is approximately $10-15. Additional items can be added much more cheaply, often for $1-2 each. We also offer free shipping with any purchase of $100 or more when you use the code FREESHIP at checkout. Will I have to pay taxes or import duties on my purchase? 

All purchases being shipped to a Canadian address will be subject to 13% HST but will not incur any additional duties or import taxes. All purchases being shipped internationally will not be subject to HST but may be subject to duty/import fees when crossing the border.  

Do you offer bulk discounts? 

If you are interested in making an offer on a large amount of product (combined retail price of $500 or more), please send us an email at bestvintagefinds@gmail.com to discuss specifics. 

Do you offer local pickup? 

No. Due to our purchasing and processing schedule we do not keep regular office hours and cannot provide local pickup. 

Do you gift wrap? 

Yes! All purchases of $50 or more are eligible for free gift wrapping. Once you complete your order, send us an email at bestvintagefinds@gmail.com and let us know what items you would like wrapped. 

Do you offer gift cards? 

Unfortunately we are unable to offer gift cards at this time due to the limitations of our current e-commerce platform. As our store scales we will be able to offer more features like this in the future. 

Can I request a new product type or author?

Absolutely! We do our best to stock our shelves with products we think will be popular with our customers based on past purchase history. If you're looking for something that we don't currently carry, send us an email at bestvintagefinds@gmail.com. We will keep an eye out for the product line or author you're looking for and we'll send you a notification when we have matches in stock! 

What is your return/exchange policy? 

Our standard return window is 30 days from the purchase date or 14 days from when delivery has been completed, whichever is longer. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted. Books, VHS tapes, and software with obvious signs of use will be subject to a restocking fee equal to their loss in value. Any other item that is not in its original condition (damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error) will be subject to a restocking fee equal to its loss in value. Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items or items purchased using a promo code are final sale unless defective or damaged upon arrival. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
